Public Tours

Public tours led by museum educators are free with admission and available daily at 2 pm, Wednesday through Sunday. Tours are approximately one hour long and do not require a reservation, although visitors are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours are conversational and explore select works in the Museum’s collection and exhibitions while introducing the life and vision of Isamu Noguchi. Public tours in Spanish and Japanese are offered monthly.

Tours Públicos (Tours in Spanish)

Las visitas públicas en español se realizan cada mes, los viernes y domingos seleccionados a la 1 pm.

Los recorridos del museo son conversacional y exploran obras seleccionadas de la colección mientras se presenta la visión del artista Isamu Noguchi. En acuerdo con el interés de Noguchi a la experiencia personal de cada visitante, alentamos a los participates que compartan sus observaciones e interpretaciones durante el recorrido.

日本語でのツアー (Tours in Japanese)

土曜日の3時から日本語でのツアーを実施します。

ツアーは会話型で美術館の常設展、特別展の中から選ばれた数点の作品に焦点を当てて、イサム・ノグチの生涯、作品観について探索します。ノグチ自身が来館者の観点から作品見ることに興味があったことを踏まえて、参加者は自身の所見や解釈を共有し、会話に参加することが勧められます。

Group Reservations

Groups of more than 9 people are required to make a reservation in advance to visit the Museum. Admission for groups is offered at the same per person rate as general admission. Tour leaders who wish to lecture in the galleries must notify the Museum to receive permission and a guest lecturer badge. Private Guided Tours

Guided tours are led by museum educators and explore select works in the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions while introducing the life and vision of Isamu Noguchi. In keeping with Noguchi’s interest in the visitor’s personal experience of the Museum, groups will be encouraged to share their observations and interpretations throughout the course of the tour. Tours last approximately one hour and are available in English, Japanese, and Spanish. 

To inquire about booking a guided tour, email education@noguchi.org or call 718.204.7088 ext 203. Please be prepared to share your anticipated guest count, preferred date and time, and your motivation for visiting so we can customize your experience. Fees are priced per group for up to 15 people and includes admission to the Museum; for groups with more than 15 people, guided tours are scheduled based on availability and fees are doubled with a maximum of 30 people. Free and subsidized tours are available upon request for local non-profit organizations and select college and university student groups.

Adults: $300 flat fee for up to 15 people
Older Adults (65+): $150 flat fee for up to 15 people
College and University Groups: $150 flat fee for up to 15 people

Access Tours

The Noguchi Museum is committed to enabling all visitors to experience the art and environment created by Isamu Noguchi. We offer free guided tours for visitors with disabilities and their care partners, and local non-profit organizations. Museum experiences are carefully planned and designed with the visitor or visiting group’s coordinator to meet specific access needs. Guided tours and art-making workshops are available for groups of all ages, using visual, verbal, and tactile modalities to provide appropriate and accessible entry points into Noguchi’s life and artwork. 

Access tour requests must be made with at least four weeks advance notice, and are scheduled based on availability. Service animals are welcome in the Museum and wheelchairs are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. To inquire about specific access needs when planning a visit to the Museum, email accessibility@noguchi.org
