The Noguchi Museum’s Teen Advisory Board [TAB] is a paid internship for rising junior and senior high school students in New York City public schools. Each year, TAB interns explore conversations that promote dialogue and inclusivity within the Museum and in collaboration with neighboring communities. The 2024–25 TAB cohort will learn about Isamu Noguchi’s life and work and focus their conversations on the responsibility of museum institutions to protect, preserve, and educate on artistic legacy. TAB interns will collaborate on a final project that expresses how art can be connected to institutional justice, anti-racism, and equity.
Teen Advisory Board meets at The Noguchi Museum on Wednesdays, 4:30–6:30 pm, at The Noguchi Museum, 9-01 33rd Road, Long Island City, NY 11106. The program runs from November 6, 2024 through May 7, 2024. TAB participants are paid a $750 stipend for full participation in the program, with the option to receive a MetroCard for transportation to the museum.
Please note that the 2024–25 Teen Advisory Board application is now closed. Contact education@noguchi.org if you have questions about the program.
Former Teen Advisory Board interns Angel Lien, Hana Nguyen, and Sharika Khaton reflect on the personal impact of learning about interdisciplinary art and self-empowerment, exploring identity and inclusivity in museums, and using their authentic voices for change.
Making Your Mark [MYM] is a free summer art program for rising junior and senior high school students in New York City.
