Pink Jizo

1960
Brass, Limestone, Portuguese marble
“Jizō-sama” are roadside deities that flock the country in Japan. They are often clothed with what might be called bibs, aprons, or shawls to keep them comfortable. Sometimes they wear hats. Pink Jizo is clothed in brass. Unlike true Jizō, it has no religious connotations.
