Hands-On at Noguchi: Photography Workshop with Artist Leah Raintree

Sunday, October 23, 2016 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm

In the summer of 2015, Leah Raintree began photographing Noguchi’s sculptures sited within the Museum, focusing on how she could recast them as distant, celestial objects. Her exhibition Another Land: After Noguchi brings attention to the material and surface quality of sculpture. Participants in this program will join Raintree in investigating ways to frame Noguchi’s sculpture through photography, paying close attention to interactions between light, form, and composition.

Participants in this program are expected to bring their own digital cameras. DSLRs, compact digital cameras, or camera phones are acceptable.

Previous experience is not necessary. Space is limited and advance registration is required. $10 Members, $20 Non-Members.
